BY-LAWS
ARTICLE I - NAME OF ASSOCIATION

1. |
The name
of this organization shall be the South Carolina Association of
Auditors, Treasurers, and Tax Collectors, and hereafter referred
to as "SCATT". |
ARTICLE II - MEMBERSHIP
| Section
1. |
CLASSES
OF MEMBERSHIP - Membership in this Association shall be
available in the following classes: Regular Member, Associate
Member, Affiliate Member, Honorary Lifetime Member.

2. |
REGULAR
MEMBER - 'Regular Membership' (with voting privileges) shall be
available only to persons holding one of the following offices-,
County Auditor, County Treasurer, County Tax Collector.

3. |
ASSOCIATE
MEMBER - 'Associate Membership" (non-voting) shall be
available only to other staff members of these offices and to
personnel of state agencies having official relationships to SCATT.

| Section
4. |
AFFILIATE
MEMBER - 'Affiliate Membership" (non-voting) shall be
available only to corporate sponsors or other sponsors of the
official activities of SCATT.
Associate Membership and Affiliate Membership is subject to the
approval of the Executive Committee and Regular Membership of
SCATT.

HONORARY
LIFETIME MEMBER - 'Honorary Lifetime Membership' (non-voting )
shall be available to former members of SCATT subject to
recommendation and approval of the Executive Committee based on
specific criteria to be developed by the Executive Committee.

6. |
Guests of
Regular Members, Associate Members, Affiliate Members, and
Honorary Lifetime Members may attend any meeting of SCATT upon
proper registration and payment of appropriate fees. |
