Welcome to our web site. S.C.A.T.T.  is made up of Treasurers, Auditors, and Tax Collectors from all 46 South Carolina counties. County Treasurers are elected officials except under the council-manager form of government where the Treasurer may be appointed by the County Council.  The primary responsibilities of the Treasurers are to collect property taxes, receive other revenues such as state aid, and invest funds for the county.  

County Auditors are also elected officials.  Their responsibilities include preparing and maintaining tax rolls. The County Tax Collectors assist County Treasurers in the collection of property taxes.
